C of E Primary School

Final full week ends in a soaking!

In this section...

Summer Fayre raises some valuable funds for the school.

As you can see from the picture above, I needed cooling off on Friday at the Summer Fayre. I am sorry to say I think the pupils are getting more and more accurate. Thank you for the additional bucket over the head.

We are not sure of the final figure raised, but whatever it is, we are extremely grateful.

Year 5 won this week's attendance with 99.68% Well done to them and I believe this gives them the half-term victory.

A massive heap of praise must go to all those pupils who regularly achieve the Super Readers' challenge each and every week. We definitely need a greater percentage of classes reading regularly, because the progress of those that do has been fabulous.

Next week, we only have two days at school and we are dedicating them to our Year 6 pupils as they prepare to leave Homefield and join their High Schools. We have a Leavers' BBQ on Monday and the Leavers' Assembly on Tuesday. I am sure the latter will be an emotional time.

Have a lovely Summer holiday and we will see you all in the new academic year on September 6th.
