Incarnation Week ends with a Bang!
We returned after half-term brimming with enthusiasm and energy. It is great to hear the staff talk so positively about how well the children have remembered our expectations for behaviour, for respect and for engagement in lessons.
This week saw the school immerse the pupils into the Christian theme of Incarnation. This is where we have the spirit of God "in the flesh" as Jesus. There has been some fantastic work completed and some very responsible debates being held. A montage of images will be collected and put on here to celebrate the week very soon. Thank you Mrs. Stephens and Miss. Battle for their organisation of this RE week.
Reception class joined in Collective Worship for the first time Friday. It was great to see them and I was impressed by their good behaviour. They also won the attendance for this week with 99.33%. Well done. All classes, except Year 5 were above the 95% threshold, so let us try and maintain this please. Year 4 did well and won the Super Readers challenge with 77% reading at least five times to an adult in the week. Good stuff!
Just a little reminder about uniform...could all children be wearing black shoes, as we have seen blue and brown shoes being worn, as well as black trainers with white soles sneaking in. Also, please could all jumpers and cardigans be navy blue.
Next week, we have individual and sibling photos on Tuesday. I am sure all pupils will be preened in readiness.
It is the weekend for Bonfire Nights and fireworks, so please all stay safe and sensible if you are at such events. Have a lovely we eked all of you.
