PTA launch drive to recruit models for the up-and-coming Fashion Show

This week our PTA launched their campaign for models for the Fashion Show in early March. We are also hoping that a few Mums and Dads will be willing to participate to model the adult clothing on the evening. This is the first time we have endeavoured to host a Fashion Show, as a new way to raise funds for further school projects. It is going to be a relaxed and fun event, of that I have no doubt. A letter about it will be coming our next week.

More Parkour lessons were held on Wednesday to ensure every year group got to experience the thrill of balancing and leaping over and off obstacles safely. Pupil feedback was extremely positive and we are looking into the possibility of holding an after-school club based on it.

You will notice the TV screen has been removed from the playground, like with most ageing  technology, it had served its purpose and had now become temperamental to operate. Thank you for observing the cordon on the trim trail, we are still awaiting a quote for repairs.

Attendance this week was won by Reception with 100%. This is fabulous, so well done to them. Years 1, 3, 4 and 6 all fell below the National Attendance Average of 96% this week. Well done to Years 2 and 5 for achieving a percentage over this. Team Points was won by Hawkers this week.

Next week, the Swallowtails' House Captains are going to become Headteacher for the Day. I shall definitely enjoy having two colleagues to assist with the running of the school. On Wednesday, the Gymnastics Competition will take place at Ormiston Venture  Academy and we are all hoping to be a success in each year group squad

Have a lovely weekend everyone.
