Welcome back to the second half of the Spring term!

Welcome back to the beginning of the second-half of Spring term. Once again, there are lots of things to look forward to. We are hoping to host a Spelling Bee competition and, of course, we have our Easter festivities as normal. As part of this, we are planning on re-enacting a Eucharist celebration, but a letter about this will be sent home in the next couple of weeks.

Well done to the valiant Girls' football team, who lost their cup game to St. Nicholas' Priory, 5-1. There have been several new girls join recently, so it will take some time to forge a competitive spirit. More league games will follow for the Boys' and Girls' teams. Thank you to all parents, who offered their support from the sidelines.

Attendance was won this week by Year 4 with 99.33%, but I am thrilled that all classes were above the 96% threshold. Let us hope everyone can keep this going. House Team Points was won this week by Swallowtails, who are steadily closing the gap to the leaders.

I have been popping into classes this week to see how the children have returned after their half-term holiday and I am pleased with what I have seen. Children continue to be keen and eager to learn new things, expanding on their factual knowledge and breadth of vocabulary. Our foundation block for the next two weeks is Geography. In Year 6, they are learning about longitude and latitude and the many different time zones around the globe. In Year 5, the pupils have been busy learning about the Central American countries and the physical geography found there.

Next week, we will be cheering on our three Cross-Country runners in the Norfolk Finals at Holkham Hall. We wish them all well and send them with the knowledge that the school is already so proud of their achievements. Also we have World book Day on Thursday, but pupils will not need to find an outfit to wear , as we are not dressing up. As a reminder next Saturday 9th March, we have our PTA Fashion Show, but all models need to visit New Look this Sunday 3rd March to be sized for their outfits.

Have a fabulous weekend.
