A bouncing and bubbling return from Kingswood sees families reunited!
I do not know what we can read into the fact that our school has seemed relatively quiet this week. Perhaps, it is because we were a class down, as our Year 4 pupils visited Kingswood for their residential. Behaviour was impeccable and it was wonderful to get reports that children had been motivating others to try activities beyond their comfort zone. Photos will be placed on our gallery page for families to see. Well done to all pupils and staff, who attended the trip, as this is another fabulous advert for our school.
On Wednesday afternoon, our Reception pupils travelled to Peterhouse Primary Academy to take a look around their farm. The pupils were so well-behaved and loved interacting with the animals. This has since inspired their writing and we have been thrilled with their efforts. I do enjoy spending time with different year groups, particularly the Infants.
This week Year 2 have been taking part in their Secret Agent Tasks and these will continue until half-term. It has been exciting to see how calm and composed they have all been whilst completing them. Good job Agents!
Next week, of course, our Year 6 pupils undergo their SATS papers, which they and the staff have been working on tirelessly for the whole year. We have everything crossed that they summon the focus and energy to do the best they all possibly can for themselves and the school. I have every faith they will rise to the occasion. Best of luck guys, do your best and relax! Have a read of the poem attached so you can see what you, as pupils, means to us at Homefield. Don't forget we also have the SATS breakfasts to look forward to. Please ignore Miss. Battle's claims that her smoothie concoction is better than mine.
Attendance was jointly won by Years 4 and 2 this week. Both with 100%. Well done. Kingfishers also won the House Team Points race for the week.
Enjoy the weekend everybody!
