Welcome Back after a Summer Holiday!

Welcome back to Homefield after five and a half weeks of Summer sun. I hope you are returning relaxed and raring to go once again. I wish to refresh you all with our Christian Vision. I have shared this with our pupils and now wish all other stakeholders to adopt the vision, which is based on two important elements of Family and Friendship. Our vision is rooted in theology by the support of two biblical quotes. Our strapline is: Together, we are a family that cares for, values and encourages all.

The first three days have been positive. I am thrilled pupils have remembered their learning from last year and are showing the desired growth mindset and willingness to contribute in class. I have enjoyed being back in a classroom covering in Year 6.

Shockingly, we already have a class below the 96% threshold for attendance after only three days. Considering the importance of being at school and the fact SATS are in May we must ensure this improves rapidly in Year 6. Kingfishers won the House Team Point race.

Clubs' booklets, autumn event dates and my newsletter have all been made available. If you do not get a paper copy, please ensure you look on the Letters Home tab on our website to see them.

Next week, we have the Year 4 Colchester Castle trip on Thursday 12th and Roald Dahl Day on Friday 13th. The latter will also be the day for signing up for after-school clubs.

Have a great weekend and I will see you all on Monday.
