Colchester Castle experience for Year 4!
Well this week has flown by. I was thrilled to here Year 4 had a superb time at Colchester Castle and behaved impeccably. This does bode well for their future residential to Kingswood. I loved going to Colchester Castle as a younger teacher earlier in my career, so I know the pupils and staff would have taken a lot from the visit.
Hawkers won this week's House Team Points, with Year 3 taking the Attendance Race title. Year 6 remain below 96% for their attendance, despite a marginal improvement.
Today, was Roald Dahl Day and staff shared their favourite books by the great author, giving the pupils the choice of which one to listen to. A character creation task was also sent home yesterday for everyone to participate in. We are looking forward to seeing the end products.
I am pleased so many have signed up for clubs. Unfortunately, Mrs. Loveland will not be able to continue her music lessons for the time being due to family commitments, but we have been able to locate another piano teacher. Mrs. Harrison. She will be able to teach piano in addition to keyboards, we are just waiting for her to confirm timings. Once we know, we will let you know.
Next week, we have our EYFS Tapestry Workshop from 9-10 on Friday 20th. We will also be celebrating Harvest, so if you are willing to make donations of foodstuffs, we will once again be sharing them with the local food banks.
Have a great weekend.
