Half-term is already upon us!

After a busy week of parents' evenings, I hope you were all happy with the feedback received from the teaching staff about your children. All comments from staff are meant constructively and are there to support the future development of our pupils.

Thank you also to those parents who completed the parental surveys. Ninety-nine percent of replies were overwhelmingly positive about the school. Please remember to speak to your class teacher if you feel that your child is unhappy for whatever reason, as we wish to ensure all our pupils enjoy coming into our school.

One question which parents did not manage to answer accurately (only 29% managed to) was the two themes that our Christian Vision is based upon. These are FAMILY & FRIENDSHIP and posters are around the school and in each class displaying this message. We have an extremely important SIAMS inspection looming and together we all need to be confident in articulating the Christian Vision of the school. As a result, please re-read the information booklet attached below and it can also be found under the Letters Home or Vision, Aims and Values tabs on this website.

Hawkers won this week's House Team Points race, whilst Year 3 claimed another weekly victory for attendance. Well done to Year 3 with their fifth weekly triumph of the half-term. A deserved non-uniform day is yours. Years 4 and 6 were below the 96% threshold this week.

On Friday we held our first Curriculum Celebration Event and I hope those family members who could attend found the pupil-led event valuable and informative regarding the learning that has been taking place in our foundation subjects. I look forward to seeing the next one.

We return on Monday 28th October with some Year 6 pupils undergoing Bikeability training. There will also be the re-arranged flu immunisations on Wednesday 30th October. Please remember to confirm your decision online for this.

Have a restful half-term break everyone!
