Super performances from our youngest children deserved hearty applause!
Despite the seasonal illnesses doing the rounds in the school amongst pupils and staff and despite the fact my fire drill resulted in an inability to turn it off for fifteen minutes, this week has been a true success topped off by the fabulous performance of our EYFS pupils in their nativity. The children did so well to remember all their lines and song lyrics.
The EYFS disco also took place this week and a big thank you to all staff, to parental donations and to DJ Kev for the music and games. We are really hoping to make £1000 for Anna Poppy's fund. It was great to see the pupils and Mary all having fun dancing around.
On Monday, the girls' football team won a very one-sided match against Hillside. They dominated from the off, scoring freely and finished with an 8-1 victory. Well done to all those who represented the school and a special mention to both girls who were our hat-trick heroes.
The children enjoyed a silver service level of catering on Wednesday with their Christmas lunch. I do not think I have ever swept up so many spilled peas. The meal was extremely tasty and the personalised placemats and crackers were so well received and designed from the children to one another. Good job everyone!
This week's attendance was won by Year 2 with 100% and last week was Year 4, yet again. The Hawkers won the House Team Points race. Well done everyone!
Next week, we have the KS1 and KS2 Christmas Performances and Carol Concert, before we head towards the final three days of term and the Christmas holidays.
Please remember it is our Christmas fayre on Saturday 7th December from 11AM to 3PM. I really hope you can attend and support another school event. If you can help on a stall, that would also be much appreciated.
Have a great weekend everyone!
