Hark the Herald Angels Sing...
As this week draws to a close, I can reflect on what has been a hectic last couple of weeks with Christmas productions and performances. The KS1 and KS2 shows were fabulous and thoroughly entertaining for all. I was particularly pleased with the singing in the evening concert by the volume of the singing, despite half of some classes being absent. Well done to all pupils and staff for their efforts. A big thank you to all who supported and spectated.
A second thank you must go to those who helped the school PTA raise £1127 from the Christmas Fayre. We will ensure this is re-invested in the school. This, in part, will go towards a larger premises project and some will go towards curriculum resources requested by the staff.
Attendance was won by Year 2 with 98%, but sadly all other classes were below the 96% threshold. This is extremely disappointing. Our attendance team have conducted their analysis of pupil attendance and will be addressing issues that arise from this before we break. Hawkers won the House Team Points race - so well done to them.
Our choir performed superbly at John Anderson Court to entertain the local residents. I think there is something very heart-warming about children singing carols at Christmas time.
On Monday next week, we have our Monday movie, on Tuesday we have another Curriculum Celebration Event from 2:40pm and our Family Carol Service at the Church at 6pm, whilst on Wednesday we have our Christmas party day, which is non-uniform. If you do not have a Christmas jumper, please do not worry about purchasing one just for this occasion.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Please Remember: Pupils return on Monday 6th January 2020.
