School prepares for Inter-House Spelling Bee!
This week we have all been suffering from one illness or another it seems and the staff have been superb at coping with minor alterations.
I have received some very positive feedback from the parents who attended the Funky Fingers Workshop today with the EYFS team. I hope you learnt a great deal and can better understand how to support your children at home with their early development.
Our Year 5 pupils attended Lynn Grove for a theatre production of School of Rock and our behaviour was exemplary once again. I am informed former pupils performed in it and it was well worth watching.
The PTA disco was another lively affair, but it was nice to see so many enjoying themselves and showcasing some of their best party moves. Thank you to the volunteers for their assistance on the evening.
This week's House Team Point winners were Hawkers and Attendance was won by Year Reception with 98.64%. Well done to all.
Next week, we have Parents' Evenings on Tuesday, Wednesday (Reception and Year 5) and Thursday, so I hope you will all support your child's learning and meet with the Teachers to discuss learning and progress. On Wednesday afternoon, we have the PTA Pre-Loved Uniform Sale in our school hall and on Friday we will be holding our Inter-House Spelling Bee competition. I do hope all spellers will represent their teams well and approach the fun event without fear or worry, because it is an opportunity to celebrate the spelling talents of all those involved. Let us see who will reign victorious this time.
Have a great weekend everyone!
