Christmas Cards for Care Homes and Decorations Galore!

Well this week has ended with a little touch of Christmas where classes are not only preparing Christmas Cards for local Care Homes, but they are also making Christmas decorations, putting up their class trees and making momentos for family members. Some classes are awaiting delivery of certain resources and will complete their decoration session next week. It was lovely to see all pupils enjoying the day and Christmas, of course,  gives us all a momentary break and glimmer of hope from the pandemic onslaught. It is only a pity that we could not have parents come in to help this year. Personally, it was nice to be able to put our school Christmas tree up outside this year and once the lights arrive, it will give an exciting reminder of what is happening in a few weeks time.

Break time tuck has been re-introduced with weekly pre-orders a week in advance. We hope this is another step in the direction of returning to normal. We will see how the delivery of the items goes this week. I have every faith that the kitchen staff will manage. Each Monday the tuck order link will be sent out via text and this will come through on your SMS or Teachers2Parents app. The tuck order window closes Thursdays at 10:00AM.

We have our children's Christmas lunch on Wednesday next week and again it will be all hands to the pump. It is great to see so many wanting a lunch this year. We have enjoyed seeing the classes eating together with their friends. This is also something we may continue with after this pandemic finally subsides.

The staff are also busily preparing something interesting in the place of our usual Christmas performances. These will not be the grand shows we annually take undertake, but they will certainly go some lengths to extend our Christian message of family and friendship at this special time of year.

Have a great weekend everyone.
