Homefield always does things bigger and better.
We have had so many different events happening this week from class photographs to matches; from Pupil Premium trips to choral shows.
Our choir travelled to the Norfolk Showground for the Big Sing. Thankfully, after all the late changes from the Norfolk Music Team, the event went off superbly and our pupils behaved impeccably. Well done to them in yet another musical outlet. Even Alexandra Burke turned up to add a pinch of celebrity power.
The Boys' and Girls' Football Teams played Woodlands and Peterhouse respectively and despite valiant efforts both succumbed to defeats. However, all players representing the school have done so proudly. The girls have another match on Tuesday at home to Martham.
Year 1 enjoyed journeying back to the 1980s for their new History topic with clothes, food and toys all on display. In fact, a big thank you for all Year 1 for my Vienetta slice. It did bring the memories back. I think all Year 1 parents also enjoyed dressing their children up for the day.
Just a polite reminder that if anybody has an issue regarding school, we cannot help resolve anything if we do not know about it. It would also be preferable to hear directly from you before matters are aired publicly on social media accounts. No matter what the concerns, I expect all issues to be discussed with my staff respectfully and calmly and hopefully all matters can be sorted with parents and school working together.
Attendance this week has improved with all classes above 95%, which is pleasing. Hopefully, we can ensure all classes rise towards 98% in the forthcoming weeks. This week's winners were Year 1 with 98.67%.
Super Readers saw Year 4 victorious once more with 80%. Well done to them and another piece of our Bookworm can be added.
Reception: 53% Year 1: 63% Year 2: 27% Year 3: 35% Year 4: 80% Year 5: 55% Year 6: 41%
Next week do not forget the school is closed on Monday for the Bank Holiday. Please ensure you enjoy the sunshine safely.
