What is that?!
We have introduced a 'Curiosity Cube' in Reception this week......
A 'Curiosity Cube' is a great way to promote discussions, questions, ideas and imagination. The children were certainly amazed when it appeared in our classroom!
This morning, the children discovered two eggs inside the glass container. Were they real? Would they hatch? What might come out?!
Ideas included: "A chick", "A dragon", "A pond monster", "A baby falcon" and "a Rainbow"............will anybody guess correctly?...Wait and see!
We are settling into our routines within the school day. The lunch time register is now taken at carpet time rather than on the door when entering the classroom and this is going well.
We have had a few coughs and high temperatures already so please ensure you call the school office if your child is absent from school.
We started our early number work this week, using 'Numberblocks' episodes and resources.
Here is the link if you would like to have a look;
The children are still getting used to full-time school so quiet evenings and weekends may be beneficial to manage their tiredness.
Please come and speak to us if you have any questions or comments. We thank you for your continued support.
