We are all thrilled to receive the SIAMS report which graded us 'Excellent'! This news came during a very busy week which included; Remembrance Day, Anti-Bullying week and Children In Need.
The weather has not been great this week and a rainy and cold start to Monday meant that Reception decided to stay at school rather than join in with the Remembrance Day Memorial Service. We talked about the significance of Remembrance Day and why poppies are used to help us remember. We watched a lovely age-appropriate video from Cbeebies which inspired some great discussions about how it made us feel.
We also enjoyed our last gymnastics session of this block and we were so impressed with the children's concentration and improved confidence when moving their bodies in different ways. We thank Mr Carr for his expertise in teaching these lessons.
Reminder - we will now be taking part in Bushcraft on Monday afternoons - Your child wil require warm clothing; coats, hats, scarves, gloves and wellies if very wet.
Anti-Bullying Week provided us with an opportunity to talk about 'kind words'. We talked about what words or phrases we considered to be 'kind' and explored how these words make us feel.
Thank you for your support in sending your children in odd socks to support this and also for your kind donations towards Children In Need.
