We have had a busy week which has included; Sports Relief, Science Week, Bushcraft and PE!
We started the week with thoughts about keeping healthy. What do we need to be healthy? Which foods and drinks are considered healthy? The children added sleep. exercise and happiness to the list of important factors.
During our Bushcraft session, we made a class shelter. The children gathered sticks and worked together to transport them safely into position and ordered them according to size. I think they were very pleased with the end result and it certainly looked cosy in there!
We marked Science Week by investigating 'Floating and Sinking' throughout the week. We had great fun predicting and testing each item in the water during our focused task. The children then explored this further within our continuous provision although I think most of the water ended up on them or the floor!
We have decided to gather and wash the 'Reading Teddies' rather than send them out this week. We will also be continuing to encourage thorough hand washing. We are aware that some children have been experiencing sore hands so please provide them with a named moisturiser if required.
We thank you for your co-operation and support at this difficult time. Please talk to us if you are worried about anything.
Many thanks, Mrs Payne, Mrs Jones and Mrs Howard.
