Last week before half-term...
We have had a busy week once again, with lots of great learning! Can I start by saying a big well done to all the children whom have been reading at home this week, we actually reached 22 (joint winners in the school). Which is amazing! Please do try to keep the children going over half-term with this as reading is so vital!
English this week has been completing our very own stories based on the story of Pinocchio. The children started by writing their own storyboard and then wrote their story out. Their stories were very creative, and they tried really hard with them, so well done!
Maths this week was mainly focused on division, in particular sharing. The children have learnt how to share out numbers/objects equally. We have done lots of practical work with this, but the children are getting there and beginning to understand how to share equally.
The afternoons have been filled up with lots of great learning, with science being focused on different trees and what they look like etc. The children also created their own images of a plant using a cupcake case. These look beautiful and are hung up in our classroom. Mr Young was very impressed with them. Our RSHE this week was focused on emotions, we looked into what the emotions look like and how we can help people who may be feeling different emotions.
We hope you all have a lovely half-term break!
