Another busy week...
We have had another busy week filled with amazing learning. It is clear to see the children are starting to get tired, with this being a longer half-term, but they have persevered which is great!
Maths this week has been based on place value of numbers. They have looked at different numbers and compared them, they have looked at finding one more and one less. The children seem to sometimes struggle a little when the numbers go higher which is why we are taking the time to get them more secure.
English this week has been finishing off the topic of poetry, with the children looking at different features of a poem. The children have looked into adjectives, similes and metaphors this week and have been able to come up with some great ideas. The children went on to create their own poem this week based on themselves, and they were fantastic!
Afternoons this week have been as busy as ever, with PSHE, PE and extra reading and phonics. Our DT topic has also continued this week with the children designing and then making their own bug hotels. The children have loved looking at different mini beasts over the last 2 weeks, and we are hoping they will enjoy their special day on Wednesday.
Once again a big well done to the superstar readers this week, we once again won across the whole school, with 23 children having read 5 times a week. We really hope this continues!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
