Welcome to Year 1!
Hello everyone! Welcome to our Year 1 Blog!
What a fantastic week it has been! The children have blown us away with how well they have settled. We have been to our very first assembly, eaten lunch in the hall and have responded positively to lots of new routines. The children must all be feeling very tried after the busy week they have had.
We started our new topic today all about toys from the past. We spoke about our favourite toys and over the next two weeks we will be learning about the toys people played with in the past. It would be lovely if you could speak to your child about the toys you used to play with and show them to them if you still have them.
We will be sending home reading books and rainbow words next week. We will be checking rainbow words on a Tuesday. If you have any questions about Rainbow Words or reading books please do ask us.
Children are provided with free fruit every day but can still order tuck. This is to be ordered via parent mail. If you have any queries about this please speak to the office.
Two letters were sent home today. One about the nasal spray flu vaccine and one about up to date contact details. Please complete the forms and return these in your child's book bag, and we will then take them to the office.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Miss Clark, Mrs Bridge, Miss James and Mrs Haylett.
