Great team work as Kingfishers triumph on Sports Day.
It was another action-packed week with Sports Day being a highlight for the whole school. Although the weather looked threatening we were pleased that we were able to make a few adjustments which didn't detract from the excitement too much.
It was lovely to see so many of you there supporting your children. I'm sure you'll agree the children gave their very best and did us all proud. With the morning and afternoon scores combined the final results were a first place for Kingfishers (blue), 2nd for Harriers (red), 3rd for Swallowtails (yellow) and a 4th for Hawkers (green).
We are winding down a little now. Only one more week until we break up for the summer holidays. A few of the children are off to the cinema on Monday to celebrate their amazing attendance this year.
I hope that you can return your report slip. It takes us hours to put reports together and we really appreciate it when you take the time to write a few words to give us feedback on how you thought the year has gone for your child.
Also a reminder that the homework is now due in. The letter that went out at the start of the term asked your child to write a short story to make into a mini book. It can also be a non-fiction book. We have only had one in so far so it would be good to see the rest in early next week.
For the last time I wish you an enjoyable weekend,
from Miss Studley and the Year 2 team.
The secret phrase this week is 'Under starters orders'.
