If you want to know the answer, ask your children!
How do you make the Grinch love Christmas? You make him a Christmas potion! But be careful not to give him too much or he'll love Christmas until Easter! We have been writing instructions about making a potion to make the Grinch love Christmas, using thinks like three crushed candy canes blended for two minutes with four snowballs. Don't forget that sprinkle of Christmas magic to finish the potion off! We've enjoyed writing a set of class instructions and have planned our own ones too!
In Maths, we have been continuing with multiplication and have been learning about arrays and how they can show the times tables. We have been able to work out which times tables they show and make our own arrays to show a multiplication problem too!
We have done lots of practising of our Nativity, ahead of next week's performance and we had a great run-through today without scripts. I can't wait to see how well it will go next week, the children have worked so hard and show great enthusiasm!
We have now finished our Geography unit and you can now quiz your children on the seven continents, five oceans, explain what a compass rose is and what a key for a map is. We designed our own sketch maps of our journey to Church and some of us even got onto designing a map of our ideal place to live, using a key to show places like cinemas, playgrounds and the beach.
We start our final topic of 2019 next week. I wonder what it could be..?
Enjoy the Christmas Fayre and have a great weekend.
