Starry Starry Night

What a busy couple of weeks it has been in Year 3! With two Christmas Dinners, an assembly and rehearsals for our concert next week on top of all of our normal lessons.

In English we are continuing with writing our newspaper reports. We are now planning our reports about a volcanic eruption.

In Maths we have looked at multiplying and dividing by 3 and 4. We have also introduced the 3 and 4 times tables.

We have finished our topic about volcanoes and earthquakes and we have started our art topic.

For our art topic we are using The Starry Night by Van Gogh as inspiration. We have spent time learning about him, exploring the piece of art work and experimenting with creating different types of lines.

In the rush of sending the children home I unfortunately did not get to give my Spelling Attack group their homework. This weeks words are:

truly

duly

wholly

fully

daily

publicly

dryly

slyly

shyly

coyly

eight

eighth

enough

Please try to practise these over the weekend.

Our lovely Christmas Mice will be on sale at tomorrows Christmas Fare. If you cannot make it please bring in a small donation in on Monday so you can take your mouse home.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend,

Miss Clark :)
