From the Iron Age to the extreme Earth!

Well we have transformed ourselves from Historians to Geographers this week. Today we started our Extreme Earth topic. We have already learnt about the layers of the Earth and tectonic plates.

In English this week, we have finished our Stone Age boy unit and we have written our own versions of the story that were set in the Bronze Age. We tried really hard to think about using paragraphs in our writing and we also used lots interesting time vocabulary in our writing.

In Maths we have also been working hard to develop our addition and subtraction skills. We have been introduced to using the column method to help us calculate. We have used our skills to help us solve some Christmas number problems.

In our Stone Age to Iron topic we made mini books all about what we have learnt. We are certainly experts now!

As we lead up to Christmas we have started a Secret Student Advent Calendar. Every day two or three pupils are secretly selected and as a reward for their excellent behaviour they get a chocolate coin and a star for our class star jar.

Reminders:

Homework is on Google Classroom. Please email Miss Clark if you are unsure.

Christmas cards can be brought into school in a labelled bag and will be given out 72 hours later.

Have a lovely weekend. Stay safe and keep warm.

Miss Clark :)
