It has been an 'eggcelent' day in Year 3. We have had great fun using money to buy Easter eggs, created Easter crowns in the style of Faberge and made pop up Easter cards.
The past three weeks have certainly flown by and it has been a pleasure to have all of the children back in class. We have spent some time building on key skills and settling back in to school routines so we are ready and raring to go in the Summer term.
We will be starting our three week block of gymnastics lessons with Mr Carr on the first Monday back so please can children come to school in PE kits and non slip socks (like the ones you get from indoor trampoline centres) . We will still have outdoor PE lessons on a Thursday as well.
We have had some focused lessons this week revisiting money and time. Please use every opportunity to continue to develop these skills at home.
After half term we will be using some different initiatives both in class and as a school to encourage both regular reading and a passion for reading. Please try to read with your child five times a week and record this in reading journals. We have been very fortunate to have a number of new reading books in class to enjoy and I cannot wait to share these with the children.
Thank you for all of your support this term and I hope you all have a wonderful Easter break.
