Thank you Miss T; you are a superstar!
I would like to thank Miss T for being a Teaching Assistant that goes above and beyond her regular duties for the good of our pupils. She does so many extra things to support, nurture and encourage the development of our children and I want her to know how much we all appreciate her. This week's featured picture is just one example of that. She is busy using her own time during her lunch break teaching a group of children how to sew. I look forward to seeing the finished designs sewed onto the cloth bags.
Lots of notices this week.....
Group 3 will be doing their Bikeability training on Monday and Tuesday so don't forget your bicycle and helmet.
Swimming for Year 4 starts on Monday 1st April so please dig out your costumes for the following week.
As per the letter that went out today, the tickets for the Plastic Pirates play will be distributed as of Monday so remember to get your preference slips in with your choices on. All tickets will be sorted via the class teachers so please do not go to the office as they will not have any tickets and will direct any queries to myself or Miss Clark in Year 3. Thank you for the costumes that are in early. We would like the remaining costumes in by next Friday 29th March. Thank you.
You will see some maths questions in your child's book bag. They are the 10 in 10s that they complete daily in class. We thought it would be good for you to see the level of questions they are doing in 10 minutes every day.
Another really good computer program, that is free, is called Topmarks. They need to go on Learning Games and select 7 to 11 age group. We are starting a block on decimals on Monday so why not get ahead.
We start a new topic unit on Monday. It is RE. The big question is 'Why do Christians call the day Jesus died Good Friday?' Have a chat see what they say ahead of the unit.
The secret word is 'gratitude'.
Have a great weekend,
Miss Studley and Miss T.
