We Are Homefield
Homefield Church of England Primary School was founded in 1962. The school is set in the ever-growing village of Bradwell, in Great Yarmouth. We take children in the September following their fourth birthday and they transfer to High School in the September following their eleventh birthday. We also have our own school nursery on site, The Ark, which takes children from the September after their third birthday. We have one intake per academic year.
Although our grounds are not the largest, we like to think that we have made good use of our space. There is a playground, a playing field, a memorial garden with outdoor stage and storytelling area, an outdoor learning space for all ages and an outdoor role-play classroom. The school itself has eight classrooms, a hall, children’s kitchen and Library.
As a Church school our Christian and British values are paramount and are reflected in the ethos of the school. Each half term we focus on one of our values (Thankfulness, Compassion, Friendship, Peace, Hope, Wisdom, Trust and Forgiveness) through collective worship, in class and at other times throughout the day. Our values inform and underpin all policy and practice within the school and adults working in school model these values at all times.
We work closely with the other schools in our local area. These links provide many opportunities to share expertise, and resources so as to enhance and develop our provision ensuring our children have the best possible start to their education.
